This Sunday, May 6, we will celebrate together as ten of our youth come to be confirmed or to reaffirm their faith. This comes after a journey of months of learning both about God and experiencing God.

Confirmation is the moment in the life of the church when a young person decides to own his or her faith for him or herself. When baptized, the parents and church agree to share custody over the faith development of the child or infant. Here, that same child makes a public profession of understanding what’s required to be a person of faith and of choosing to follow after Christ with head, heart, and hands.

I hope you’ll make plans to join us at the 11am service where we’ll celebrate this Confirmation and reaffirmation of faith. Leigh and I couldn’t be more proud of these young folks!
