Coming June 10, we’ll be offering Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University here at the church! This course teaches families both practical and theological ways to be good stewards of the money God has entrusted to us.
I’m excited about this opportunity as it’s made a personal difference in my life. Several years ago, Dana’s parents went through this course and taught us the principles. We have used them not only to pay down our debt but to help us frame goals and dreams for our financial future.
The course will begin on Sunday, June 10 and last for nine weeks, through Sunday, August 5. We’ll meet at 5:00 p.m. for about 90 minutes in the Social Hall. With vacations and summer happenings, I know many of us will be here and there. If you can’t make every Sunday, no worries! Financial Peace University sets the standard at making seven of the nine meetings, but even then, the videos we’ll watch together will be available to you online. Childcare is provided for all meetings.
Two generous donors in our church, who believes strongly in this program, have offered to cover half of the cost per family for the first twenty families who register. You must be a member of the church to qualify. If you would like to take part in this, send a check made to the church for $54 or pay online through our PayPal account. We will then order your membership after families have signed up.
Otherwise, the cost is $109 per household. For that cost, you will receive all the materials for making your financial plan, access to the videos online, as well as additional tools for our group conversations.
I encourage you to strongly consider signing up for this course. It’s open to anyone in our community who would like to attend, so invite your friends and family to join us, too! Tell your family and friends to sign up by clicking this link: https://fpu.com/1064263
