After my bout with the flu, we begin the first of our Lenten evening prayer services this Tuesday, today! at 6:00 p.m. This is a service of peace, of quiet, of self-reflection, of stillness; indeed, we might summarize it as a service of everything that the world is not. It’s a chance to draw into the heart of our Savior and find there all the sustenance we need to sustain us through life. It’s a worship service, to be sure, but perhaps different substantially from what you have experienced in the past. Come curious, come worshipful, but most of all, make time and plans to come and set aside just a half an hour of time for Lent.
