We have exciting news to share as a church! This month, we will bring aboard two additional staff members who will greatly aid in our ministry as a church.
First, Rev. Graton Helms will join us as Associate Pastor, adding this role to his current role of pastor of two small Dodge County UMCs. In his role here, he will primarily assist with visitation at the hospital and to our shut-ins. I will continue to make initial hospital visits and visit with our shut-ins. Graton will make follow-up visits and add to the visits I make to homes. He will also be available as an emergency contact should I be out of town when one occurs. You’ll also be seeing him more often at events at church. I’m thankful to the Operations Council for their approval and to our Bishop, Lawson Bryan, and our District Superintendent, Rick Lanford, for agreeing to add this role to Graton’s appointment.
Second, Charlene Sabia Thompson will join us as a nursery worker, alongside Zepher. She will work every Sunday except the fourth and offer nursery for special services offered during the week. Charlene begins her work with us on February 4.
I’m excited for these updates and the potential they hold for us as a church as we continue to grow. As you see Graton and Charlene, please welcome and congratulate them for their new roles.
