Each Lent, we have the call to greater discipleship. This can take the form of giving something up, like fasting social media or a favorite food, or it can take the form of adding on a new discipline. I suggest the latter. This Lent, take up reading the gospel of Luke all the way through and joining in conversation about it. I’ll be preaching the parables of Jesus from Luke, so your reading will add depth to the sermons. Your reading will coincide with an online discussion via a closed Facebook group. This is a new take on the discussion groups we’ve done in person. I’ll offer some handy contextual information and you can post your questions or reflections for all of us to comment upon.
