We have several great things happening here at the church and in the community this weekend! I hope you’ll be able to attend one or several of them! Check out below for the details of these great fall events:
Outdoor Movie
Our next outdoor movie, just in time for the great fall weather, is this Friday, October 19, at 8pm on the lawn between the sanctuary and social hall (you can’t miss it from Dublin Highway). We’ll be there with Mr. Peabody and Sherman, a great movie from a few years ago. Frozen Bean will be there with their Italian sodas and Popcorn bar. Proceeds from the sales support the Dodge County Foodbank.
Music on Main
The Chamber of Commerce presents a day of festivity with an afternoon and evening of live music. Ahead of that, in downtown Eastman beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, is a wares fair with the farmer’s market and many vendors selling foods, arts and crafts, and other goodies. Our children and youth ministries will be well represented as the youth provide games and activities for the kids while their parents shop. I hope to see you there perusing the goods and supporting our community!
Charge Conference
At 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, we’ll have a special time of worship with fifteen other churches in our district. We come together to celebrate our common labor, hear a message from our district superintendent Rick Lanford, and share in communion together. A gathering reception will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the social hall and nursery is provided, also beginning at 3:30 p.m. Service will last about an hour and a half. I hope you’ll make plans to come, show your support for our connection as Methodists, and enjoy worship together for a second time this Sunday.
