The start of any new school year is a sacred time of bundling nerves with books and school supplies and new relationships. It’s the beginning of another journey that feels somewhat the same, and yet markedly different, than years before. For our teachers and administrators, it’s the start of again living out God’s calling on their lives as they seek to raise up the next generation of citizens for our country.

This is why we’ll do the blessing of the book bags on Sunday, August 6, at both the 8:45 and 11:00 services. We seek to send off our students, teachers, and administrators with a spring in their step as we ask God’s blessings upon their efforts this school year.

Please invite families, teachers, and administrators you know to join us on that Sunday at either service. Tell them to bring their backpack, teacher bag, or whatever they carry their school supplies in with them to the service.
