For me, when I joined Martha Bowman UMC in Macon, it was a seminal moment in faith. It said, as our liturgy states when we join, that I was committing myself to the work of Christ in the world through this local church. But not only that, the congregation, those whom I had come to love at Martha Bowman, were committing themselves to my spiritual care and to work together for the cause of Christ.

When you joined, or when you join, you, too, will have the opportunity to feel that dual commitment of pledging to work for the cause of Christ through this church and the congregation’s pledge to you to encourage and strengthen you as we, together, seek the transformation of the world here, in Dodge County.
